We also do offer a special TLC Package designed for older and special needs pets which includes unlimited medication administration.
Do you have breed restrictions for Boarding?

While we love all breeds at Puppy Haven, we do have certain regulations in place for safety. We do not permit pit bulls, american bullys, cane corsos, presa canarios, akitas, boerboels, mastiffs and dogo argentinos. We do accept mixed breeds.

Can my dog get canine cough?

Canine cough, also referred to as kennel cough, is a general term for a cold your dog can get if they are exposed to other dogs or areas where other dogs have been. This includes daycare, the groomer, veterinarian’s office, in dog training class, at a dog park, or in your neighborhood on a walk. These infections are similar to a cold in humans and the vast majority of dogs quickly recover. Symptoms include coughing or hacking, sneezing, running nose, eye discharge, lethargy, loss of appetite, and/or fever. If your dog is exhibiting any of these symptoms, you should seek veterinary care immediately to begin treatment and minimize the risk of a secondary infection. Puppies, elderly dogs, and dogs with weakened immune systems are more susceptible to contracting canine cough.

What precautions does Puppy Haven take to reduce the risk of canine cough?

All the dogs in our care are required to be current on vaccinations, including Bordetella, which protects against certain strains of canine cough.  Additionally, our facilities are regularly monitored for clean air and have vigorous disinfecting procedures in place. Our team members are trained on canine cough and if symptoms are detected, dogs are immediately isolated, the pet parent is notified, and the dog is either picked up or taken to a veterinarian.

Dog Daycare FAQ

What vaccinations are required for daycare?
To keep our daycare guests safe and healthy, we require all dogs be up to date on vaccinations for rabies, distemper combo, Bordetella, and canine influenza.
My dog doesn’t like to play with other dogs, would they still enjoy daycare?
We appreciate that some dogs would rather play with people than with the “pack.” Our custom play program includes one-on-one playtime with a staff member so your pup can have tons of fun doing whatever they like most. They’ll enjoy all the fun of our play yards and playgrounds while soaking up the undivided attention of a caregiver.
Can I come in for a tour?
Yes, we’d love for you to see our resort. Please give us a call to schedule your tour.
Do you require a trial evaluation?
We keep our daycare program as safe as possible by ensuring our guests are comfortable with a social play environment. Your dog’s first day is an “evaluation day” where we get to observe your pet’s preferred play styles and determine if they’re a good fit for the group. If your pup seems to prefer playing with the staff, we have a personal play program just for dogs like him/he
What will my dog be doing at daycare?
The short answer is—whatever makes them happy! We provide a safe place, playground equipment, and room to roam, and the dogs choose what to do next. Whether it’s romping across the yard, exploring the playground, splashing in the pool or napping in the sun, daycare is a ton of fun for dogs of all personalities.
Do you offer daycare packages?
Yes! Daycare is most beneficial to dogs who visit on a regular basis. We offer discounted daycare packages so your dog can make the most out of daycare while you enjoy the savings.
